Every holiday season, it's important to our team at Mulling Insurance to give back in meaningful ways to our community. This year was one of our most ambitious giving-back efforts to date as we partnered with 5 organizations and impacted over 80 families this season. We're so grateful to be able to support individuals and organizations in our communities through our philanthropic initiative, Mulling Cares. Read below to see what we've been up to this holiday season!
Senior Orphans of Polk County
Senior Orphans of Polk County provides support to seniors throughout Polk County who are living off of a fixed income of less than $600 a month. Many of these individuals struggle to cover household expenses, medication, food, and more. Senior Orphans provides household items, such as hygiene supplies, cleaning products, and more to lessen the financial burden through community donations and volunteer efforts.
Each year, Senior Orphans offers opportunities for community members, organizations, and businesses to donate holiday gifts for members of their program. We always love supporting them throughout the year, but making sure their members have a magical Christmas means the world to us!
Lake Alfred Elementary School | Fundamentals for Kids
In addition, we had the opportunity to partner with Fundamentals for Kids to provide outfits and gifts to students from Lake Alfred Elementary! Fundamentals for Kids was created in 2000 to benefit underprivileged families and children in Lake Alfred but has since grown to benefit children from several counties throughout Florida. Each year, they work with volunteers, retired teachers, and community members to provide educational opportunities, resources, and more to students in need.
Victory Ridge Academy
Victory Ridge is a school located in Lake Wales that serves a variety of special needs children, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Spina Bifida, Down’s syndrome, and more. Victory Ridge utilizes individualized education programs along with medical and behavioral programs to meet both the therapeutic and educational needs of its students.
Each year, Victory Ridge accepts donations for gifts to benefit their students, and each year, we load up our truck with bicycles for their students!
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy is a charter school located in Davenport, Florida. Established in 2000, their focus is on traditional academics with an emphasis on global studies; their students come from various and diverse nationalities. This year, Ridgeview Global accepted donations of clothes, shoes, and toys for their students, and we were thrilled to participate!
One More Child
Last but not least, we were able to work with One More Child again this year! One More Child provides services to vulnerable children and struggling families in our community. From placing children in crisis into foster and adoptive homes, providing safety for an abused child, or providing resources to families such as food, diapers, and more, One More Child makes a difference for thousands throughout the world. Last year alone, they served over 324,467 children through all of their programs and initiatives.
Every year, Mulling collects toy donations from our staff members and purchases gifts for the children in their single mother's ministry! Check out our staff's great wrapping skills in the image below!
