# Mulling Cares Makes the Holidays Brighter

The Mulling Insurance team cares deeply about the community, so much so that it's a key part of our company culture to support local organizations through our [philanthropic initiative, Mulling Cares](https://mullinginsurance.com/about/mullingcares/). While our employees volunteer throughout the whole year, holiday giving is one of our favorite ways to spread joy and provide support where it's most needed.
This holiday season, we partnered with five organizations to bring cheer to local children, seniors, and families. Read more about these nonprofit partnerships below!
# Senior Orphans of Polk County
[Senior Orphans of Polk County](https://www.seniororphansofpolkcounty.org/) is a volunteer-run organization helping seniors in Polk County living off of a fixed income of less than $600 a month. Many of these individuals struggle to cover basic necessities and are faced with the difficult choice of buying food or medication. Senior Orphans collects community donations to provide hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and other household products to lessen the financial burden for these seniors.
During the month of December, Senior Orphans collaborates with community members, organizations, and businesses to donate Christmas gifts for the seniors in its program. Our team loves sharing the Christmas spirit by buying and wrapping gifts for this organization each year.
# Fundamentals for Kids
[Fundamentals for Kids](https://www.fundamentalsforkids.org/) started as a grassroots organization to help local kids and families achieve a higher quality of life through literacy education and physical resources, including clothing, books, and other educational supplies.
For the holidays, the nonprofit connects the community with local elementary schools to provide toys for students. This toy drive speaks to the kids in all of us, and the Mulling Insurance team loves brightening these students' days with their gifts.
# Victory Ridge Academy
Located in Lake Wales, [Victory Ridge Academy](https://www.victoryridge.org/) is a charter school for students from Pre-K through 12th grade with exceptional needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Spina Bifida, and Down’s syndrome. Victory Ridge Academy promotes independence, academic success, and community inclusion for all students through educational and therapeutic interventions.
Before the holidays, we give back to Victory Ridge Academy by loading up our truck with bicycles for their students. Our employees might be a little too big for these kids' bikes, but we are huge supporters of the school's mission!
# One More Child
[One More Child](https://onemorechild.org/) provides Christ-centered services to vulnerable children and struggling families in our community and globally. Through foster care, anti-trafficking, child hunger, single moms, and family support programs, the nonprofit offers comprehensive care to help One More Child.
Each year, we pack our truck with gifts wrapped by the Mulling Insurance team for their single mother's program!
# Ridgeview Global Studies Academy
Located in Davenport, [Ridgeview Global Studies Academy](https://www.rgsa.com/) (RGSA) is a charter school focusing on traditional academics with an emphasis on global studies. Its mission is to encourage students to become responsible and caring decision-makers in an ever-changing, multicultural world. We were happy to donate to RGSA's collection of clothes, shoes, and toys for their students.
We love supporting these incredible organizations that are working hard to make the holidays more joyful for our community. Their work doesn't end with the holiday season. These nonprofits and many others throughout our area stay busy all year, bringing services and resources to our area.
